Carl Close Jr. comes from a family of metal workers on the North Shore. When he was only ten years old, he began working at his father's forge. Now he runs Hammersmith Studios with his wife Susan out of a warehouse in West Concord. Carl's iron artistry recalls the arts and crafts period popular in the early twentieth century. A mica shade enhances the hand-pierced, hand-carved metalwork on this lamp.
